ABOUT THIS BOOK:

The aim of this book is to provide an overview of the communications and teachings received from a spirit called Charlie. The entirety of the information contained herein was gathered during séances conducted at the Bristol Spirit Lodge, a centre for the development and promotion of physical mediumship.

The Lodge was opened in February 2007 by Christine Di Nucci, with the sole intention of “supporting the development and demonstration of physical mediumship” (Di Nucci, 2009). Over the course of the past 2 years the Lodge has been involved in the development of physical mediums “from scratch”, that is development with individuals who had not previously had any personal experience of physical mediumship, other than perhaps having attended séances.

The Bristol Spirit Lodge Circle is an overall title given to the several different groups, or circles, held within the Lodge. Each group or circle sits on an experimental basis, with no particular outcome expected. Within the context of experimentation each of these groups or circles has a primary designated medium and a set intent and purpose for sitting.

Charlie first made himself known to the circle, through the mediumship of Jon, in May 2008. Jon had been a regular sitter at the Spirit Lodge since early on in its development. Charlie is Jon’s personal guide, and claims to have inhabited a monastery with him during a past life. Initially Charlie gave his name as Dao Lin, but this was changed to his current moniker following a joke he shared with Jon one evening.

Charlie operates as part of a spirit team consisting of several other individual entities. He describes his role as that of a “project manager” helping to provide “an overall level of control” during the séance proceedings. He helps other spirits to come through and prepares the medium during the early stages of the trance state.

Charlie is also engaged in developing the various physical phenomena regularly displayed during Jon’s Tuesday night ‘Spirit Sanctuary’ séances at the Lodge.

MY FRIEND 'CHARLIE':

I met Charlie through Jon. Since our first meeting almost three years ago, we have spoken together regularly, both on a personal level, and within a social setting with others present. Always, when light-hearted banter is shared, or serious questions asked of him, Charlie has displayed humour, kindness and compassion.

To speak with Charlie is most similar to chatting on the 'phone with a trusted friend. No matter what issues are raised his personality remains stable and he neither makes judgement nor criticism. When asked for advice his response is neither challenging nor prescriptive. Instead he offers forward 'alternative concepts' and gradually I find that, through his support, a clearly lit path has become illuminated within the darkness.

Charlie is not only loved by me, but by all who have met him. He isn't just in one place, but can be found anywhere. Jack, Jon and myself offer this book in the hope that it may open the door for others to share in similar experiences.
